seems insane, though we dont know the history between them which is more important than calling with bottom pair.

nice pot w00t

AA/KK and set would have valuebetted turn...
there aren't that much hands that will shove river for value..
I can only think of AQ that will beat him..

gutsy and nice call though Cool

he calls 1100 pre with k3 suited, then a hero call on the river. That's a fast ticket to bustoville if you ask me.

Yep, seems to me like he's one of those thousands of agressive maniacs that raise all the time, and then their massive egos just REFUSE to let them fold when they get caught, and will call down with anything. It's like they go "oh no, NO WAY he's gonna out-raise me, doesn't he know that I'm a manly man??" Sure, it worked out for him there, but as you said, he'll probably go broke extremely soon unless he learns how to swallow his pride and FOLD A HAND on occasion.

great call but still down 180k

because 9/10 he is wrong
By toptenguy - 2010-09-10 10:56
wow... But darn it, I'm sure that he constantly brags about those 1/10 hands though to all of his friends, and believes that he's the best poker player in the world! lol

I don t think so either since this:

http://www.pokertableratings.com/stars-player-search/Reymartz

anyways he wanted to say he waited for a seat to his game so railed the higher NL-games

The other guy involved in the hand overpot-bluffing the river AI seems to be what you call a shark thou or on a heater:

+1, still very spewy to call K3 out of position.

PokerStars is full of idiots... that call with nothing/junk, and this idiot just got lucky.

But yeh, if you win you are great, if you lose you are the worst poker player ever.
By Michiel - 2010-09-10 12:18
I think it was kind of obvious, since one of the most played hands is Ace King. If someone reraises preflop, you can put him on AK a lot. When he then plays his hand like he really has AK, I think this call is justified.

Btw: I would have folded at those stakes Tongue
By thebomb_187 - 2010-09-10 15:31
terrible play that worked out. if you play like this you too can be down $-179,416

If I wanna be down $ 180.000, I must have that amount to begin with...

How is it possible that at EVERY post you make you look a like a frustrated donky who went to bustotown after getting out-played by maniacs? Every post of you there is some kind of whine in it. Really you should shut the f**k up and leave this poker forum if everything frustrates you this bad. I am sure alot of people think the same about it Smile
By toptenguy - 2010-09-10 18:21
So, you're gonna say that my comment isn't 100% logical and justified?? Doesn't it look like what I described is EXACTLY what happened? Yes, I hate maniacs, and I hate how lucky they get and how often they get saved after getting caught. Is that a crime? I'm glad that this dude is down $180K, he deserves every bit of it.
By pokethis36 - 2010-09-10 18:54
lol this call is really not that bad, the guy might be a bad player, but, like bad players do, he has stumbled across a ok hero call. i expect most of he people saying how bad this are losers themselves and this makes hem feel better, if one of them could explain why this is so bad i would appreiciate it.

preflop is terrible, on the flop is bad, call on the river is marginal and i would probably call it some of the time.
By XsloviX - 2010-09-10 21:35
Given more info that people have posted, it's likely the guy's just a calling station, but the other thing that's possible and happens all the time is...Misclick!
By samboyyy - 2010-09-11 01:50
cash game right? sick call but he reraised to get info? well he got it after his opponent called, he probably thought he wont go all in with that kind of river card. i honestly believe if it was a different river card, he would fold+ we don't know their history. weird check on the turn from the opponent, trying to control the pot then over bet shove? probably had a read on him
