Let us assume for a second that online poker and RNG are not rigged for a second (I don't think it is, but I know a lot of people do here).
Here is some pretty simple logic to maybe explain this phenomena without saying poker is rigged:
- You play anywhere from 5-20 times as many hands in an hour (perhaps even more) online versus live.
- Psychologically, you remember the beats much more than you remember when you run well.
- You remember more beats from online, skewing the results in your head.
Also, you are never that big of a favorite in any given hand. Go on a 50 buy in downswing below equity and talk to me. It happens to everyone all the time now.
