omaha pot limit

well, i am new to omaha. i have only lost money playing omaha or hold-em. anyway. i have been playing tonight and have a question. is it wise to go all in after the flop with a highflush and openended straight draw? the reason i ask is i lost literally every pot i went all in on. i thought it was the right play because i have 17 outs, more or less.

also, is it a good idea to raise preflop? i have had some success raiseing preflop but i have also lost a lot. i am trying to figure out why i am only losing.

Just have one question. What happend to the player Big grapes? he was playing high stakes Razz before (200/400, 500/1000 and 1/2K). Think he played some Texas limit, but maybe not that high.

I found a few definitions on poker and thought of sharing with you all.
Poker Definitions –

Dealer: The Dealer is one who shuffles the cards and deals the cards to players. A dealer in online casinos is indicated with a dealer button.

Pocket card: A Pocket Card is one of the first two cards that were dealt by the dealer.

Community card: a card that is on the table and available for all players.

Small blind: The amount of chips that player to the left of the dealer has to bet, depending on stakes.

Big blind: The amount of chips that second player to the left of the dealer has to bet, depending on stakes.

Flop: The first three cards that are dealt on the table.

Turn card: This is the fourth card of the table. It is also called Fourth River

River card: This is the last and fifth card on the table.

Hand: ‘Hand’ are the five cards that the players collect from the pocket cards and the community cards.

Dealer button: This is a red button that indicates the dealer.

Showdown: This is a term for the end of the final betting round when all the active players turn their cards face up to see who has won the pot.

There are numerous other types of poker with slight differences as compared to the general poker rules, but the basic gameplay style is the same and it will just take a few hands even for a newbie to get along with the different types of pokers available in the UK online casinos.

tsarrast: i ran it up to 10k online playing 2/5nl, cashed it out,

I am new to pokertracker, just started using it.. just played a session of 200 hands.

And in the general tab it says

VP$IP = 30 PFR=22.13 and W$WSF = 40

Is this good or bad, and what exactly does this mean ?

I see some players has the stats of other players when they play like 21/18/1.5 What does this mean? Are those the same stats as I listed before ?

I may sound like Im stupid or something, but plz help me out even if this shouldnt be posted here :)

Party Poker is not safe

A while ago someone managed to hack the party account of a friend of mine. Having gained access, they uset moneybookers to deposit 10 bucks. My friend had never used anything but creditcards to make deposits. 10 mins after the deposit the hacker cashed out everyting on the account, using moneybookers (luckily it was just 1100-1200 dollars). My friend found out about this and contacted Party Poker. They told him that they would look into it, and that if his story was correct, they would pay him back what was stolen from him. Long story short, Party Poker tracked the cashout to a ip in Germany, were my friend have never been, they apologized for my friends loss, but declined to pay him back. He was not allowed to talk to the superwisor at Party Poker that promised him his money back, and they gave him 100 bucks to cover his phonebills. He had called them 6-7 times from Norway to make them solve the matter.

Party Poker cashed out my friends bankroll to someone, not knowing who they are. I might add that my fried had been playing a lot of hand over 3-4 years at Party Poker. For a while he played medium to high stakes games, and he has provided Party Poker with tousands of dollars in rake. When they make this mistake, they deny liability. I have moved my bankroll away from Party Poker, and I suggest that everyone else reading this do the same. They can not be trusted. 1100 dollars for them is nothing, they should be paing my friend back his money, and add 10k to make him keep his mouth shut about their security problems, but they gave him 100 dollars.

I've played alot of Omaha PL lately on 0.10/.20 and 0.25/0.50 6 seated.

I've had some huge swings and i always start to double up and maybe tripple up, but after a while a really big hand comes and i always lose to a badbeat.

my question is. which hands dould u play in omaha pl 6 seat. does position make that much difference as it does in Holdem?

At these low stakes everyone is a calling-machine and how do i protect a hand vs so many idiots?

Should i but preflop or just call to reduce the risks?

Omaha is really funny and there are so many donkeys there. I see a great potential taking the money from them, but which way to go?

Is there anything in the Bible about gambling being a sin or being sinful? I don't recall anything from the Ten Commandments on the subject, but I'm not well-versed in the Bible anyway. But if anyone can point to some scripture indicating that gambling is sinful, I'd be interested in seeing it.

I've been playing online poker for a bit, but i only ever deposited $100 at a time. As you all know, $100 is NOT a lot in the world of online poker, so i'd eventually lose it all on one hand. Well, I'm finally ready to make a big deposit, just wondering how much do you all think I should put in, starting at low limits .25/.50 or .50/$1. I could probably go as high as $1000.

Also what US friendly site has the best sign on bonus? I'm looking to get the most for my money.

Any advice you'd want to give me about playing is also appreciated.

A hand that has been bugging me for a few days so i thought id share it,

i sat at a 0.50/1 hu plo table with 30$ againt a guy with 120$

over about 50 hands i had taken nearly half his stack stealing raiseing every hand limping and hitting etc and felt i had him out played,

then this hand came up (dnt have data sorry)

i have qk 56 rainbow raise from the bb he calls

Flop comes qS 5S 2d

he bets i raise he pushes 3rd spade on the river to give him a flush,

should i have just called on the flop to control the turn?chances are hell check the turn having missed,

i tried to raise him off the pot but he was committed.

i had him pretty much beat up until this hand but i really am not sure how i should have played it he was a weak aggressive player but not to bad a player eg betting drawing hands etc.

it would be great to hear you guys opinions,:)
