I've thinking of purchase the poker tracker program and wonder if it is worth it.
What are the benefits of using it? Can you recomend it? what are your experience of using it? Any risk (trojans, etc. )?

Does it work well with omaha pl?

Happy for answers

I used PT3 for about 4 days( free beta version)

I didnt get it to work on PLO hands, but I have seen people use PT for PLO, forex Cardrunners Gordo16.

The few days I used Pt it really helped my game, and Gave me confidence in my game since I saw that My Ev graph showed me winning money, but the "money graph" showed pretty nice swings..

Im getting PT myself, just need to get my foot out of my *** and actually buy it

hmm, hope it helped abit.. Dont really know what to say, as I am the ultimate PokerTracker noob..

thnx for the reply.
There are different versions of PT3 and i've downloaded the one for omaha.
There are trackers for holdem, omaha and stud (there is even one for heads up).

hope for more replies

Hey there, thanks for the PM. I don't know all that much about PT, but I have been using it, and I find it useful to track results and such.

Most beneficial for bringing up hands and figuring out equities; PLO equities are far more complex than NLHE, and PT has to be the easiest thing to use to get a general feel for the percentages of when you should be behind or infront of a range of hands quickly. There are better options for specifics on ranges, but for learning your equities roughly in a given spot, it's a great tool. It's also nice to know sometimes when you got it in ahead, or just how far behind that guy was before he hit his 3 outer on the river.

Another thing I use it for is checking positional stats. That is, how much money won or lost from each spot. At one point when I checked, I was losing so much money from the blinds, that if I open-folded every blinds hand I would have become quite profitable!

It's also a good tool to simply go back after a session and review hands in the replayer; check lines, look at your equities in spots, etc.

I haven't got PT3 yet, but when I figure out how to take money off one of the sites I play, I will. Make sure you post back what you're liking about PT3.

Hopefully it will improve my game

Cool. PM me with your screen name and the stake you play so I can look out for you!

My first deposit on FT didn't go well, but I seem to be getting the hang of it now.

Well. I dont know if you can call a deposit of 50 dollars a bankroll.
If you can, I've lost plenty of Bankrolls
My screen name is "laxmacka"

I'll probably be playing PLO at low stakes.
