joshfurrow, you did just not understand I think. I mean; he talking about being a pro and I bet he want to win like 50-100$ each day. To do that you need a HUGH bankroll to begin with (and I don't think he has a big bankroll) and it's kinda hard to win everyday without a bankroll and you really need to win alot if you want to live on poker. This guy seams to tilt, so he will risk alot of money on bad days. Just saying it's very hard to life on poker without a bankroll, since he play with scared money and risk alot each day.

RE: I am growing a bankroll from $50 on star

dude so far its taken u 3 months to turn 50 into 200 dollars. ur profit is 150 dollars aka ur making 50$ per month. if u play every day thats like 1.60 per day which if u play 10 hours is like 16cents an hour. bankroll management is very important no doubt about it. but once u have a large enough bankroll to sustain ur wins and losses and also leave u money for urself for every day expenses. the smaller the bankroll the more you should gamble because the easier it is to replenish. i mean u have 200 dollars now and cash the games ur playing are so small its gonna take u probably a year to make 1000 dollars at this rate. if u think its worth it then please ignore me because in the end its not my decision and i certainly have nothing against u as a person or a poker player i think what ur attempting is both good for u and good for ur poker game. what i think u should do is take the 200 and play like 10 dollar single table sngs if ur comfortable playing them. even the 4 40 180 man sng is fine. i mean imo u shouldnt be nurturing a 200 dollar bankroll cause u can replace it with ease. let me know what u think for real man. if u think im an asshole thats fine. if u consider changing the stipulations around then ill help u out with it. either way its all good and good luck to u.

luck is just the door...you gotta get in through the window

Pokerproacjohn Is obviously right.

Unless you have another motive for playing this way?

If you want to earn a living you need to either start with a bigger bankroll, or take bigger risks.

I looked you up on sharkscope and it looks like you like you need to develop some more of that "Antonius Cool" - it says your SnG form is supertilt.

RE: I am growing a bankroll from $50 on star

Sorry about the lack of updates. I have been busy with my family visiting from Ireland and transitioning to a new job. I am not playing poker for a living at this current moment. I am mainly playing to focus on tilt control and to improve my fundamentals.
As far as my shark scope goes, I could have played better, but running bad is also a factor in my downswing. I played a lot of 18 person $1 SNG's and bubbled in 5th when 4 payed in quite a few of them. I am not going to be playing much for the next few weeks. Even when works clears up I am still going to continue playing on my $215 bankroll. Remember this is not where I draw my income from. If I was playing for a living I would use the 20 buy-in rule and take a more aggressive approach. I am in no rush. Thanks for all the advice.
As far as playing 10 hours a day. I played an average of 1.92 hour per day. American Idol is longer than that and makes people $0 per hour.
Hope ever one has a good July at the tables. Take care

omgjtt, actually I think this is a good thing you did. Cus now everyone know you can't make "a profit that matters" if you grind that limit in Texas Holdem.
