RE: Live Cash Game @ Berlin
maybe you're right, maybe i should have moved all in preflop, that's what i'd have done online, but live it feels some kind of different, you see the cash in front of you, that's what made me think twice. besides what he did wasn't a straddle, he was allowed to take 10 back, he just didn't knew how much the blinds were, otherwise he couldn't have bet 320 first position
When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading

RE: Live Cash Game @ Berlin
AKs is only bad against 2 hands... otherwise, the OP is racing OR way ahead. If you don't mind gambling, then you call 32x BB raise pf with no other callers. But if you do (as you seem to really care that you lost), you fold your hand, move on and play your game that made your stack 4x. I believe what made you call is because you assumed this guy was a maniac who thought he could sit down and bully the table and you wanted to be the guy that stood up to the guy and told him "no, it doesn't work that way." I don't blame you, you were running good on the table and didn't want the guy ruining the game.
But with the size of the raise, I have to agree with some of the other posters... you have 1300 back, and if you truly believe your AKs to be good pf, you need to push back. If the raise was more reasonable, you can flat-call in your position... but not against a overbet like that.

RE: Live Cash Game @ Berlin
Akir I seen ur pic and I dont remember you. I was there between May-Aug 2007 (i was mistaken that it was 2008 erlier). I am wondering what your aproach to that game was. I played tight, probably to tight. I would win a buy in or 2 and then lose an all in to someone who had me covered continually. It seemed to me that that was one of the most aggressive games I have ever seen. Or at least had 3 or 4 of the most aggressive players I have ever seen. I have often thought of that game and how I would change my strategy to beat it.
I'm really interested to hear how someone who won in that game aproached it so I would love to hear your responce.
