Future Star (2007-08-18)
I went pro/semi-pro at ftp some months ago. After playing with good bankroll management, sound strategies and patience(combined with agro tendencies),i managed too dump my entire roll in 2 days. Something like 27k,which is huge to me..

notes to myself:-Dont play when drunk. -Always have bankroll management under controll. -Dont play against better opponents(atleast not when building a roll so i can go pro).

Ouch! I'm sorry to hear that. Luckily this is something I managed not to do, although at times I don't know how. Do you have the funds to make a comeback, or are you going to have to get a job?

I have to work

Kinda sucks after grinding, but i will come back stronger than ever! Also planing to get some live action. Next years main event and perhaps a plo tourney. I feel that i have learned alot of my misstake, and i will never play unless i play my a-game,if not it is a very good ev-situation.

I will manage this game....

Hello Stevie, interesting discussion you started. I have played 2 years most of the time on 05.1 nl holdem. Last 4 months I've played at nl 1 2§ blinds. I've had very good results on the cash games which is almost the only thing I play. Ive made 32K on these four months only on shorthanded 1 2 and one tournament win ( 3200§) and now I am contemplating not looking for a job since I make more money on poker at the moment. I am also thinking about moving up to 2.50 5 blinds but I am very conservative when it comes to moving up in blinds. I think money management is the most important thing in order to be able to play your own game. However I think it is important to stay sober and not take winnings for granted. It is still gambling. It can also be a little boring not having work mates but playing well on low/medium stakes could aslo make it possible taking a part time job which most people couldnt do.

Good to hear. I've been fulltime for over a year now. I've really enjoyed the freedom and could never see myself working again You're right about it being boring sometimes, and during downswings it can be very lonely, but there is always the chance that you can climb the stakes and make extremely good money

Which site do you play on, and have you ever played Prima?

Hello, I play on betfair.  I really like their software. Yes, there's always the chance to climb and hopefully make bigger profits. I am currently thinking about moving up. My bankrole is 30K and I guess I could have a go at 2.50 5 but I am really enjoying being at 1 2 since I am very comfortable with the level.

When is it time to move up? That's a good question, when the br is high enough or when u feel your game is good enough? I've played fulltime this summer and will continue to do that for the rest of the year and then evaluate. And I must say I enjoy the freedom and the money even tho I know that I must keep my discipline and br management in order to keep winning.

There are not that many good tournaments, one 16 K gtd - 100+9§ and 11K gtd 80§. recently a new one came up, 20K gtd, 50§ buy in shorthanded which I like to play. Then there is a 50 K gtd with 300§ buy in. There are quite a lot of decent players on betfair but there are some real fishes as well. Im thinking about looking for a eurosite since the dollar is falling and will fall even more from what I hear. But I dont know if I'll actually do that. Do u know any good euro sites with nice software for playing 4 tables (not overlapping) and with some fishes?
