Browndog19

Andrew Brown is another smooth operator, in the sense that he is probably one of the best unknown PLO players. You won’t hear any of the news portals and poker media outlets talk about him, yet he is a WSOP bracelet winner, an achievement few of the currently hyped top online players can boast.

The New York native, who had been studying to become a hotel manager before he got into poker, obtained the prized piece of jewelry in 2008. He won event #16, the $2,000 Omaha Hi/Lo 8 or better event, besting an exquisite final table and defeating none other than Ted Forrest heads-up. Ralph Perry and Scott Clements were at that final table too, and that made Browndog19’s performance all the more impressive.

He finished in the money in another event in the 2008 WSOP: event #26, the Razz Seven Card one, in which he took down $4,019. The reward that came with his bracelet in event #16 was a handsome $226,483. In 2009, he failed to get back into the money at the WSOP, but he reached 5th place in the Aussie Millions’ $923 HORSE event, which netted him $7,139.

Andrew Brown is also a feared online poker player. He plays online at Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars and he’s a familiar presence at the highest stakes on both sites.

What makes him truly stand out of the crowd is his willingness to share poker knowledge and to teach people though. He coaches online poker at the Deepstacks University.
