Momentarily, there’s little known about ClockWyze, except the fact that he lives in Malta and is involved with an online gambling company. Given that loads of people move to Malta to look after their gambling related business, ClockWyze’s real nationality is thus still not known. Word has it that he may be from Canada and that his real name may be Andrew. Those bits of information gave birth to speculations that he may be none other than Andrew Pantling, an established tournament and cash player from Ontario. Pantling has over $300k in live tournament winnings and he’s not a shabby cash game player either.
He plays high stakes at Full Tilt Poker, and he seems to have an affinity for the short-handed tables, where he can apparently hold his own against players like Brian Hastings, Patrik Antonius and Gus Hansen. His preferred stakes are the $25/$50 ones, and he really made a splash at these tables back in the summer of 2009, when he quietly amassed about $1.29 million over 319,220 hands mostly at those stakes.
While his cash game skills are undeniable, if one takes a look at ClockWyze’s tournament history, he’ll see that he has a habit of busting out of tourneys relatively early on. He is probably one of those all or nothing go getters who either end up going deep or bust out without wasting a lot of time.
When he goes deep he goes deep though. In 2009, he won more than $70k in two FTOPS events, in which he finished 2nd and 9th.
