Jens "Ingenious89" Kyllönen is the latest in a long line of standout Finnish poker pros that includes Patrik Antonius, Ilari "Ziigmund/Ilari FIN" Sahamies and Sami “LrsLzk” Kelopuro. He has made a big impact on the high stakes poker scene at such a young age.
HighStakesDB first started tracking Ingenious89 in the middle of 2010 on Full Tilt. The young Finn had previously played on different European sites building up his bankroll initially player NLHE then transitioning to PLO. He jumped straight into the high stakes PLO games on Full Tilt but did not do so well to begin with; he lost just under $400k in his first year of play on the site.
This all changed in just one day when he won over $1 million on 21 April 2012 playing $300/$600 short-handed PLO. He is respected as one of the best PLO six-max players in the world according to his opponents.
In addition to his excellent online poker success, Kyllönen has made an additional $1.36 million in live tournament winnings; this includes a 2009 PokerStars EPT Scandinavian title ($1,120,815), and a 12th place finish in the 2009 EPT Barcelona ($57,225). He also participated in the Big One for One Drop $1 million buy-in tournament in which he did not cash but he has said on chat that he didn't sell any action for the event and put up the full million himself.
