John "JDags" D'Agostino is an American professional poker player from Seymour Connecticut.
He attended Central Connecticut State University to study Accounting but in 2003 John dropped out to play poker full time. He was playing high stakes Limit Hold 'em online at the age of 20. John started to play cash games regularly at Foxwoods Casino, not to far from his home after turning 21. It didn't take long before he was playing high stakes live as well.
John wanted to play in big tournaments and therefore had to learn to how the play the No Limit version of the game too. In didn't take long for him to show some really good results in the live tournament circuit.
He made a name for himself by finishing runner-up to Phil Ivey in 2004 Championship Poker at Turning Stone and got $250K for the effort.
D'Agostino has won more than $1,8 Million playing live tournaments.
