He used to be a tennis player and he coached too, but playing professional poker proved to be the career he’d eventually embrace for good. As a poker player, he got his early training from Marcel Luske, and Jennifer Harman. He sure didn’t disappoint as solid results started flowing in, in 2005. First, he closed in on the goods in various EPT events, then he moved towards the WPT and finished in the money in the 2005 WSOP Big Dance too.
The EPT’s Main Event saw him finish at the final table the same year, and a month later he won his first EPT event at Baden bei Wien. In December 2005 he nearly won the WPT’s Five Diamond Poker Classic too, but he eventually ended up in second place.
2006 was a slower year for him, but he did score a 9th place in the $50,000 HORSE event, taking down a $205,920 prize. In 2007-2008-2009 he finished in the money in various other WSOP events, eventually amassing a total of 12 cashes. In 2009, he was unable to enter the Main Event as he showed up late on the final Day 1 flight and was turned away by the organizers.
Patrik's biggest success has been in online poker where he has won more than $10 million on sessions HighstakesDB has monitored since 2007-01-01.
