Suk-Min "Steve" Sung is a professional poker player. Born in Seoul South Korea, his family emigrated to the United States America when Suk-Min was seven years old.
Steve first discovered the game of poker by watching his father play, and started playing poker in 2002.
Sung went to the University of California at San Diego to study economics and computer engineering, but never followed through. He dropped out and turned a full time professional in early 2006.
Sung has made more than $3 million from playing live tournaments. He won the $1K NLHE event at the 2009 WSOP with a field of 6012 players winning $771K.
Sung's is a good all-around player, he has reached final tables at the WSOP, in 7 card stud, Stud 8, PLO on top of his NLHE accomplishments.
