Justin Bonomo is a well known American live and online poker player, who has raised his fair share of hell both online and offline, sometimes for the right, other times for the wrong reasons.
Born in 1985, Justin is a member of the online poker generation. He started out by playing Magic: the gathering then moved on to poker at around the age of 16. He started out by playing smaller stakes and making a run at the bigger ones every now and then. He usually got his nose bloodied at those higher limits though. Till about the age of 18, he hadn’t accomplished much at the virtual green felt. It was then he began taking the game more seriously and he began to chisel his skills by reading poker books and online poker forums.
He played at Party Poker back then, and he pretty soon turned his initial $200 bankroll into a $10,000 one. Unfortunately though, he created multiple accounts at Party, using a software glitch and when he scored a 6-figure win in Party Poker’s Big Sunday, he had all his winnings confiscated for cheating.
By that time though, he had already amassed 6-figure profits over at PokerStars too, so he didn’t go bust.
Nowadays he prowls the nosebleed stakes cash tables at Full Tilt Poker, under the name “ZeeJustin” by which pretty much the entire poker world knows him. Though he’s had some tough times lately, overall he still does extremely well.
Bonomo has made millions from Live Tournaments as well. He has won nearly $5,5 million, his biggest score so far came at the EPT Grand Final held in Monte Carlo, where he took down the NLHE Super High Roller 8 Max event in 2012 for $2.17 million.
