Eugene “FishosaurusREX” Yanayt is a professional poker player that grew up in Moscow and moved to the US at the age of nine. He has a major in Computer Science. Yanayt is known as “oogee” on PokerStars. Where he specializes in draw games.
Eugene also plays professional chess, and he has a record of 6-15 according to ChessGames.com.
Having begun playing pro chess back in 2001, Yanayt’s chess career dates back far longer than his pro poker career; the first known sighting of Yanayt was at the 2006 WSOP Main Event when he placed 414th, and earned $30,512. In 2011 he placed 6th in the EPT NLHE Grand Final in Madrid and won $371K.
Yanayt first appeared on HighStakesDB in January of 2010 under the name “FishosaurusREX” - his Full Tilt Poker name. FishosaurusREX opened the year steadily dropping his win rate at the $25/$50 and $30/$60 2-7 Triple Draw tables. He took a sharp downturn in October and November when his losses approached $1 million when we started to track him in the high stakes draw games.
However, he went on a good run to start 2011 after winning over $1.3 million in various Draw games. Unfortunately, he had one of the worst months in online poker history after losing over $2 million in February to a number of different players.
