Jungleman12’s true identity is currently not known. He is suspected to be a young gun, one who’s wreaking all sorts of havoc at Full Tilt Poker’s nosebleed tables. He is an ultra-aggressive player, kind of like Tom Dwan and Isildur1. He plays from $0.5/$1 to $300/$600. He has taken on Dwan and Isidlur1 several times too.
Jungleman12 seems to like pretty much all Holdem and Omaha betting structures. He plays FL Holdem, PL and NL Holdem too, as well as PLO. Short handed and heads-up games seem to be his favorites, where his aggression offers him a true edge. By looking at his cash game stats, it’s easy to tell that he is indeed adept at hammering that edge home.
That doesn’t mean he’s not a good tournament player too. He finished 8th out of 1,635 players, for a $6,540 haul in the Sunday Mulligan at the end of February. He played in several $2,200 and $1,100 SNGs recently, mostly in heads-up ones, and he seemed to do just fine in them.
In his blog at Cardrunners, Jungleman12 has made a couple of posts where he talks about his philosophy that thrives him to do what he do.
According to his blog, he’s also pretty grouchy when it comes to answering messages while he’s on losing streaks.
Whoever jungleman12 is, he seems to have a whole bunch of things going for him these days. His playing style certainly bears the mark of the greats and we may yet see him become a more regular presence at the highest available stakes at Full Tilt.
