Marcelo Marigliano is an Italian poker professional, who started playing in 2007. Marigliano has been playing in live poker tournaments ever since, with varying degrees of success. Known online as luckexpress10, he has been known to lock horns fearlessly with some of the top nosebleed stakes professionals at Full Tilt Poker. Despite having suffered crippling setbacks several times, Marigliano has always bounced back and re-built his bankroll. Tom Dwan is the player to whom luckexpress10’s fate seems linked in more than one ways.
Dwan was the one responsible for almost busting luckexpress10’s online bankroll on one occasion, but he is also the man to whom Marigliano’s possibly biggest live poker achievement is tied.
In the Full Tilt Durrrr Live $1 million challenge he took on two Dwan and promptly relieved the New Jersey Wonderkid of $250k, winning the challenge. The action began with Dwan building up a lead over his opponent. As long as the two of them stuck to NL Holdem, Dwan was OK. They soon switched to PL Omaha though, and that’s when things started heading south for the American. The Italian took over the lead in the final stretch, and eventually managed to hold on to a $22,500 margin, which was enough to give him the win and the $500k pot.
Dwan had won 55% of the pots, but with all that, Marigliano was the one who managed to pull away on account of his bigger pots.
Marigliano currently lives in London and he’s pretty modest about his poker achievements. He has once said that poker was way too stressful a means to make a living and that he was not keen on turning it into a career.
