Eunjong “JJu” Byun is professional poker player born and raised in Seoul, South Korea. Where he still resides.
Byun started out his online gaming career in 2003, but back then it was a total different game, literally speaking, he was a StarCraft professional. Eunjong started out in the STX Soul Team, then joined Samsung Khan E-sports Team, where he was the team leader. Byun made $300K by playing StarCraft from 2003-2008.
He is now retired, but for all you gamers out there, here is a StarCraft video from 2006.
Boxing is another interest for the South Korean, he practices it several days a week.
Byun found poker in 2006, he specializes in No Limit Hold 'em. He has played tons of hands on Full Tilt, at stakes under our tracking radar. One must assume that he has done well there since he started to take shots at $25/50 in March 2011. At the end of January 2012 Byun sat on a profit of $456K playing as high as $100/200 on PokerStars.
