Tsubasa "Tsubi87" Manabe is a Japanese poker pro who is currently living and playing online poker in Germany. He is the first high stakes Japanese poker player (that we know of) which we have seen at the online tables.
He started playing poker in February 2007 and like many, began at NLHE. He started of at the full-ring games before moving to short-handed then heads-up, and then to PLO, which he plays both short-handed and heads-up.
Tsubi87 plays exclusively PLO online at stakes ranging from $25/$50 to $200/$400, although we have mostly seen him play as high as $100/$200 against some tough opposition. He started of 2012 very well winning over $720k in the first four months of the year.
He has played some live tournaments including the WSOP as well as WPT and EPT events. He has cashed in a few events although he has not made any significant deep runs. In 2011, he managed to come second in WCOOP Event 43 ($320+R PLO, 6-max) for $75k.
