China’s Bin Sun Takes Down Red Dragon SHR for $189,454

Chinas Bin Sun came through a field of 91 entries to scoop the $189,454 top prize at the PokerStars LIVE Red Dragon Super High Roller in Jeju, South Korea last night.

The final table included Polish and US visitors, but the final six were all Chinese, with Yake Wu perhaps the best-known after his Triton/partypoker MILLIONS exploits earlier this year in Rozvadov.

Sun had already shone in the Red Dragon High Roller a few days previously, a 5th spot that perhaps ought to have been much better, but this time he made no mistake.

Wielding the chip lead to great effect, he disposed of Fei Xiong and Zhiqiang Qian in 4th and 3rd respectively, before dealing the final blow heads-up against a short-stacked Wu…

Sun: A♥ 8♣
Wu: Q♣ 6♠
Board: 9♠ 7♥ 3♣ 3♥ J♥

That ace high was good enough for victory and $189,454, Wu settling for the $131,655 runner-up payout.

Final results

1 Bin Sun $189,454
2 Yake Wu $131,655
