Travis 'DramaticDegen' Darroch Turns $22 Sattie Into $100k+ Score in partypoker MILLION

It was a day of high drama on the partypoker highstakes grind, a massive score for Travis DramaticDegen Darroch in the partypoker MILLION and a huge win for Gastrader in the Big Game!

By: Andy Burnett

Kicking things off with the partypoker MILLION, the return of the $215 buy-in, $1million GTD biggie saw 749 players make it through to the final day from an original 4472 entries, a big overlay welcomed by the players, but unlikely to last forever.

For Darroch, it was a huge deep run considering he’d won his spot in a $22 satellite, and the nerves were jangling as he fired up his TwitchTV stream to share his tilt at the MILLION title.

Down to three and a deal was on the table, Travis taking $106,308 for 3rd spot, vem kikando taking the win for $114,876 and theteacheray in 2nd for $107,915.

The High Roller Sunday Big Game drew in 84 entries at $5200 apiece, a huge chunk in the prizepool above the $300k guarantee and the site’s biggest names battling it out.

FromHolland1945 made it to the money, a $13,650 cash for 11th, and Greenstone25 landed 5th place and $29,400. Heads-up saw a deal made between TopGirl and gastrader, the latter the online name used by billionaire philanthropist and poker-loving amateur Bill Perkins.

It’s possibly not the real Bill this time, though – the partypoker name change this summer seeing a few cheeky players ‘borrowing’ better-known players nicknames!

In any event, the deal saw gastrader eventually taking 1st place and $99,643, with TopGirl cashing for a massive $89,356.

The $150k GTD High Roller Sunday Masters saw 164 entries in the $1050 buy-in NLHE event, with another highstakes amateur – or their namesake - in the money, topdollarman the usual moniker of English businessman Paul Newey.

Topdollarman grabbed 7th place and $5740, and the win went to OXOXO, a $36,293 cash ahead of BERTHA264 whose runner-up finish was worth $26,076

We’ll finish the Sunday highstakes grind round-up with a partypoker PKO event, the High Roller Gladiator, which saw 118 entries at $2100 a pop, producing a $241,900 prizepool.

Again it was the big names putting in deep runs, onehundredeyez taking 3rd place and close to $20k, with wikidipidi 2nd for almost $29k.

The victory and the lion’s share of the Bounty payments went to kristian150, $22,603 from the regular prizefund topped up with a massive $40,392 in rake-free bounties.

That’s it for another week at the highstakes online MTTs, but we’ll be bringing you all the best of the live action throughout the next fortnight as the partypoker LIVE Caribbean Poker Party gets into full swing.
