England’s Chris Brammer Takes Down partypoker CPP Mini-Main Event for $165,000

Englands Chris Brammer scooped the $1100 Mini-Main Event at the partypoker LIVE MILLIONS Caribbean Poker Party yesterday, adding $165,000 to his career earnings that broke through the $2million barrier earlier this year.

By: Andrew Burnett

Brammer was among 23 players who returned to fight for the title at the Baha Mar resort in the Bahamas, with former Main Event champs Joe Cada and Ryan Riess, as well as partypoker duo Jeff Gross and Josip Simunic in the mix.

By the time the final table of eight was set, Cada was the only one of that quartet still standing, Simunic and Gross cashing for $7750 each, Riess having fallen in 19th for $6,000, with WSOP bracelet winner Joseph 'subiime' Cheong still among the contenders.

Cada eventually fell in a very creditable 5th for $40,000, and when the Austrian/German pair of Lalos and Putz hit the rails, it was Brammer versus Cheong for the mini-Main title.

The Englishman won that critical battle, landing the $165,000 first prize, Cheong’s runner-up spot good for a $110,000 consolation score.
