Sunday Grind Sees NOLIMITHOLDEM Wins partypoker Big Game Title For $165,528

The Sunday grind produced guarantee-busting, festive fun everywhere yesterday, with partypokers Big Game topping the list with a massive $220,000 extra in the prizepool!

The High Roller Sunday Big Game, to give its full title, pulled in 144 entries at $5200 each, making a $720k prizefund and more than $165k up top.

partypoker’s own highstakes crusher, Anatoly 'NL_Profit' Filatov, was among the final tablists, as was gastrader - which may or may not be poker-loving, hedgefund billionaire Bill Perkins.

The gastrader account took down the Big Game for $99k and change just a few weeks ago, but yesterday had to settle for 4th place and $61,200.

Filatov, who scooped the $10k High Roller at partypoker’s Live MILLIONS Caribbean stop last month, made a great run for the Big Game title as well, but eventually fell in 3rd, an $86,400 score.

That left player_99887766 and NOLIMITHOLDEM to fight it out for first, the latter prevailing to land a massive $165,528 December payday, with second place worth $118,800.

Filatov was in the money once again in the High Roller Sunday Masters, the $1050 buy-in tournament just exceeding its guarantee with 203 entries.

For Filatov it would be a 13th place finish and $3k payout, with serial highstakes casher El_Cucuy adding a 10th place to recent deep runs.

The heads-up battle for the title saw another of the red diamond site’s crushers in action, fromHolland1945 defeating Plarize to land the Masters win and $41,391.

Over on the US-facing Americas CardRoom, it was a similar story of big turnouts and big money, the ACR $215 buy-in Sunday Special exceeding its guarantee by a full 50% - exceptional considering the OSS, Venom and Cage Live tournaments were all on yesterday’s schedule.

The 939 runners were chasing $33,991 first place money, with 108 players cashing, and R2C2 was the first to hit a five-figure payday with a run to 4th place and $13,709 reward.

When GoldoMaxi fell in 3rd for $18,310, it left BoutTreeFiddy to fight Wanksta1n for first, prevailing to lift the $33,991 win, while the runner-up took $24,414.

The ACR $200k GTD was also running, some 223 players paying the $1050 buy-in and chasing close to $50k up top, Alex 'OutFoxenYou' Foxen among those running deep.

Foxen took down this event a couple of months ago, but had to settle for 7th place and $6913 yesterday, leaving the way clear for PinkLadies to scoop the title and $47,945.

Global Poker’s Sunday grind was a busy one too, the Scrimmage and Teaser drawing in over 500 runners between them.

The SC50k GTD Sunday Scrimmage had 256 entries, among them Brian 'TheGoldenBlazer' Frenzel, who decided to turn his deep run live with an impromptu streaming session...

The Illinois man turned that into a 4th place finish and SC4224, telling his fans ‘TGB is back’!

With 8COLEWORLD4 falling in 3rd for a healthy SC5632, it left Trichoblast to challenge Blackwendy05 for the Scrimmage title bragging rights.

There was nothing Trichoblast could do when the final hand appeared, Blackwendy05 flopping a full house and improving to an unneeded but even better one on the river!

The Sunday Teaser was also action-packed, 248 players chasing a share of the SC25k prizefund.

This time there were two Illinoians at the final table, Temirlan Mukashev edging out his ‘state-mate’ 1 Emoney 1 for a 5th place finish.

Delaware’s Murph1101 took SC2750 for an excellent 3rd spot, and that left Global Poker reg IEnjoytheMountains to fend off Indiana’s El Fap0 for the Teaser tile and an SC4825 payday.

That’s it for another week from the biggest and best of the Sunday grind, but we’ll be back next Monday for our highstakes roundup. Until then, good luck at the tables!
