Semen Kravets wins EPT Prague National for €262,309

Russias Semen Kravets landed the EPT Prague National €1,100 title, the biggest win of his career by far adding €262,309 to his bankroll after a three-way deal at the final table.

There were 2452 entries to the four-day event, the prizepool weighing in at €2,353,920 and six players surviving for last night’s final table at the Casino Atrium in Prague’s Hilton Hotel.

Israel’s Gregory Telman bagged the €70,265 sixth place prize when his big ace ran into an even bigger one belonging to China’s Yin Liu, and Romania’s Narcis Nedelcu followed him to the payout desk after Kravets found a runner-runner flush.

Finland’s Jussi Mattila disposed of Liu with the same diamond flush runout, and that led to a three-way deal, with Netherlands’ Jasper Meijer van Putten filling out the trio.

Mattila took the biggest share, but there was more than €30k left to play for – van Putten missing out on an extra share when his short-stack was outflopped by Kravets.

The heads-up battle for the title was decided in the following hand, when the turn favoured Kravets…

Kravets: A♦ 10♠
