Daniel Negreanu's Unlimited Tournament Re-entry Plan for 2020

Daniel Negreanus big tournament dilemma for 2020 saw him call in his Twitter followers, and barely had they voted than KidPoker had to put their voting preference into action!

That very narrow victory for re-entering tournaments as much as need be to have a chance at winning, might have been overlooked or revised, had he not promptly busted his first bullet at the WPT Bellagio Five Diamond World Poker Classic, turning to his wife Amanda for advice…

That came after he had posted: ‘Was not my day at all in the WPT Bellagio event. 40k in chips to start and I don’t think I won a single pot with 2k in it, ha! Headed home and will ponder overnight if I want to re-enter’.

The former PokerStars ambassador, who has recently taken up the same role for GGPoker, had been mulling over his tournament plans since the WSOP Europe resulted in a messy finish to the Player of the Year standings.

Negreanu was initially crowned the victor, only for a Russian journalist to spot what everyone else had missed – a WSOP summer online event in Vegas incorrectly entered twice.

The resulting correction saw Robert Campbell handed the title, Daniel relegated to 3rd place behind Shaun Deeb, with no hard feelings from DNegs for the mix-up.

So, his ‘to re-enter or not’ dilemma, sparked by thoughts such as the following…

With public opinion split almost equally between his three options, and not being tied to the public vote, he fired off another bullet in the $10k Championshp event.

That resulted in a deep-ish run, Negreanu eventually finishing 62nd from the 1035 entries, and cashing for $29,220 after Michael Wang ended his title hopes…
