The tournament, in conjunction with partypoker LIVE, saw 489 entries at the Casino Sochi resort on the Black Sea, with 12 players remaining as the final day’s play got underway.

With almost $20k tied up already, the lucky dozen included Anatoly Filatov, although the partypoker Team pro would fall in 11th place when he ran into Roman Timergazin’s pocket jacks.

Vladimir Lappo fell to a bad beat in 8th when rivered trips cracked his queens, and Vlada Stojanovic’s final table sun-run continued when he felled Egor Voitusenko.

Badulin then took over the role of executioner, pocket kings twice prevailing to set the heads-up clash with Stojanovic for the title, and he finally ground down his opponent, the trophy secured in this final hand…
