Already his country’s biggest winner in tournament poker, Jattin has been on a heater since 2020 arrived, four big cashes in Australia last month including a $195k PLO title at the Australian Poker Open and a victory worth $678,831 in the Aussie Millions $25k Challenge.

He was one of 84 entries for the closing partypoker MILLIONS Live High Roller event at the Punta del Este resort in Uruguay, a long second day’s play seeing 12 players in the money.

Among them would be well-known pros Jack Sinclair, Marvin Rettenmaier and the US duo of Kevin McPhee and Mike Del Vecchio, but it was the South American contingent who were on fire at the final table.

Brazil’s Rodrigo Seiji saw off 2018 WSOPE Main Event winner Sinclair in 7th when his jacks held up against the Englishman’s big slick, and then Seiji eliminated Rettenmaier after the German had disposed of Del Vecchio.

The Argentinian duo’s hopes of South American partypoker glory ended when Sagra ran into Seiji’ aces and then Quijada did the same against Jattin…

Quijada: 2♦ 2♠

Heads-up saw Jattin take a big lead and although Seiji fought back, the final hand saw him all-in and at risk with Q2 against A6 and the board didn’t help.

That left Jattin as champion, winning $200,000 while Seiji took the runner-up prize of $129,800.
