Tim Adams And Mustapha Kanit Dominate Poker Masters Online Day 7

It always seems like its just a matter of time before Canadas Timothy Adams lands a title during any high roller series, and yesterday he popped up in the winners box again – a Poker Masters Online title on partypoker and $243,988 to go with it.

Before Adams topped the 6-max NLHE podium, however, there was an 8-max NLHE on the schedule, event 14 of the 30-tournament series. With 114 entries it was one of the biggest yet, the $500k guarantee smashed out of sight with close to $280k going to the winner.

Mike Watson, Alexandros Kolonias and Alex Foxen were among those who made the money and were chasing a 2nd title of the series, Foxen having two bites at the cherry simultaneously…

The American would bust out first at the final table in the 8-max, however, although he would add over $100k in total to his Purple Jacket overall leaderboard race hopes.

Brazil’s Brunno Botteon De Albuquerque will likely be known to online players, though less so those who mainly follow the live events, and a $99,750 payday for 4th place was his first of the series.

When Russia’s Artur Martyrosian fell in 3rd, for $142,500, it left Kolonias chasing a second win, but Mustapha Kanit in his way.

Both men were guaranteed almost $200k, but the win and an extra $80k went to the Italian, with Kolonias picking up his fifth cash of the Masters Online series.

Next up was the 6-max, also with a $10k buy-in, attracting 78 entries and paying out a round dozen players, highstakes beast David Peters in the unfortunate and rather unaccustomed bubble role.

Finland’s Elias Talvitie was in the money yet again, as were Jorryt van Hoof and Yahia Fahmy, with Kolonias adding a 6th cash while bubbling the final table.

It was a brutal line-up in the final six, Imsiriovic, Heath and then Foxen falling in turn, leaving Dario Sammartino, Joao Vieira and Timothy Adams on the podium.

Sammartino would exit in 3rd place, a $93,600 payday, and Canadian highroller maestro proved too strong on the day for the Portuguese former pro basketball player Vieira – a massive $243,988 going to Adams and Vieira taking $152,100.

No break for the players today of course, being Sunday, with a $25k buy-in 8-max, as well as $10k buy-in 6-max PLO and NLHE tournaments.
