There were 225 entries to the 9th tournament of the $35million guaranteed series, producing a prizepool of $1,125,000 and featuring some of the world’s best at the final table on day 2.

Former handball pro Wiktor Malinowski bowed out in 7th, mirroring his finish in one of the last big live events -partypoker’s LIVE Sochi SHR series - before the current crisis halted live play.

The winner of that one, Belarus’ Mikita Badziakouski, had to settle for 5th spot and $61,875 yesterday, one place ahead of partypoker pro Kristen Bicknell who cashed for $47,250.

Christoph Vogelsang bagged 4th place and $87,750 while Alberto Meran hit the podium with an excellent 3rd for $118,687.

That left Hartmann facing Dimitar Danchev, and the pair decided to ICM chop the money, Hartmann pocketing an extra $15k and going on to take down the title.
