'Alexgirs' wins SCOOP $10k Main Event for $920,596

The SCOOP Main Event title and $920,596 has gone to the anonymous Belarusian player Alexgirs who fought off a stacked final table to land first place following a three-way deal…

With 609 entries to the $10k buy-in tournament, the $5million guarantee was blown away, some $6,090,000 in the prizepool with the official final table all collecting at least $100k.

By the time they got there, Michael Addamo, Daniel Dvoress, Max Silver and Benjamin Rolle were all still in contention – as was Pablo Brita Silva who took down the partypoker MILLIONS South America Main Event in February for $1million.

The young Brazilian had already shown he had online game as well, scooping the Irish Poker Open Main Event title in April, and yesterday was looking to add a third huge title to his 2020 sun-run.

Rolle was the first of the big names to go, running into two huge hands to see his stack turn to dust, and he was followed to the rail by Max Silver, his pocket tens unable to hold up against Aerts big slick.

In the battle of big hands, Australia’s Michael Addamo had to settle for 6th place and $221,648 when he ran his own big slick into Difelice’s kings, and Daniel Dvoress had a similar tale to tell as he finished 5th for $303,273.

The Belarus player also accounted for start of day chip leader Pieter 'XMorphineX' Aerts, the Belgian taking 4th place and $414,960 and then it was time to talk deal or no deal among the remaining three.

They eventually settled on the following numbers, with $50k left over to play for…

Alexgirs. $870,596
Pablo Brito: $764,942
Alex Difelice: $722,075

There was no stopping the Belarusian from then on, first disposing of a short-stacked Fidelice in 3rd and then he amazingly and correctly called off his stack with king-high to decimate Brito’s remaining stack, shortly afterwards finishing it off and taking the coveted SCOOP title.
