With 61 entries to the 6-max SHR, a prizepool of $1,525,000 awaited those who reached the final table, with Jake Schindler and Joao Vieira among them.

Vyacheslav Buldygin grabbed 6th place, one of several Russians doing well in the 28-event series, while Vieira fell in 5th for just under $100k.

Jake Schindler was next to go in a fiercely-contested tournament, several big hands won and lost on the river and most of Schindler’s stack disappearing in such a way, despite having his hopes of survival raised by the flop…

Novak himself was next to hit the rail, 3rd place for $183,000 after a similar tale of roller-coaster emotions when all-in against Seth Davies

Davies: 7♠ 7♣
Novak: K♥ J♣
Flop: 10♥ 3♣ 3♥

River: 7♥

That left Davies and Mateos to put on a heads-up masterclass for the fans watching at home, the Spaniard eventually pulling ahead in the chip counts and closing it out when Davies’ ace couldn’t hold up when it was needed most…
