ACR Smash Venom Target as Players Chase $1.5million First Prize

Americas CardRoom have smashed expectations in their much-vaunted Venom tournament, a massive $9.68million prizepool up for grabs that dwarfs the original $7million guarantee – and a top prize of more than $1.5million

Day two saw the final numbers in, with 3872 entries to the $2650 buy-in making it one of the biggest Venom’s yet on the US-facing site.

Not everyone had to pay to get a payday, though, as poker streamer Kyle Anderson was thrilled to announce…

And of course, not everyone made it to the cash either, the brutal end of ACR pro and streamer Thomas 'HolyCannuli' Cannuli captured for posterity, the river bricking to send him tumbling from the tournament…

The Venom has captured the imagination of US poker players, the numbers rising dramatically over the past two years – the 2018 version being a $1million GTD event, last year up to $5million and 2020 increased – and smashed – yet again.

Down to the last 64 players, each guaranteed at least $16,456, they’ll be playing today down to a final table spot worth close to 6-figures

We’ll bring you the best of the action from that Venom final table as all eyes converge on those top two spots, worth more than $1million each.
