The Team partypoker pro was on home ground, the red diamond site teaming up with the World Poker Tour this summer for the World Online Championships among other big events.

The latest event on the SHR schedule saw Haxton account for two of the 21 entries, a $50k investment to chase a prizefund of $525,000, with Tim Adams, Stephen Chidwick, Kahle Burns and Haxton’s partypoker colleague Jason Koon all in the mix.

Bosnian-Canadian pro Ali Imsirovic was first to fall, and likely unconcerned at re-buyiing, the young star of the game fresh from landing the biggest online NLHE pot of all time this week.

With only 3 places paid it would be a nosebleed MTT slugfest, lasting lasted just under 5 hours, and witnessing Sergei Reixach bubbling the cash in 4th spot.

That left Haxton, Jake Schindler and Russia’s man-of-the-moment Artur Martirosyan with a podium finish and a payday, Schindler taking $105,000 for 3rd spot.

Haxton couldn’t be stopped from doing the $25k SHR double, lifting $262,500 for the win, with Martirosyan taking a very decent $157,500 as runner-up.

Final results

1 Isaac Haxton $262,500
2 $262,500 $157,500
3 Jake Schindler $105,000
