Partouche Poker Tour: Ali Tekintamgac disqualified from today's final table

Ali Tekintamgac

All eyes are today on the WSOP Main Event final table, which will start at 12 noon. However, another interesting tournament will also continue today, and it is Partouche Poker Tour final table.

Unfortunately PPT final table will kick off today with some very bad news, since one of the final nine players, Ali Tekintamgac has been disqualified from the final because of cheating.

Here is more information:

"Ali Tekintamgak, a German finalist at the Partouche Poker Tour, is disqualified for cheating during the tournament!

The organisation took their difficult decision after having seen him obviously cheating on the videos of the TV table. Patrick Partouche pressed charges to the French Fraud Autority, the Police is currently watching the tapes and the story is to be continued. If guilty, Tekintamgak could even face jail time.

The worst part is that it's not the first time for Ali. He was actually already caught in a scandal that almost no one spoke about at the Tallin EPT Main Event this year. As a matter of fact, he was "working" hand in hand with fake journalists/bloggers who were looking at his opponents hands and then, making gestures to indicate the hands. Thomas Kremser at the time had expelled him from the Casino.

The organisation of the Partouche also took the decision to expell him, meaning that his chips (3 289 000) will be removed from the table, lowering the global average stack, all eight finalists will be guaranteed 130 000 euros instead of 110 000 euros and the 110 000 euros extras should be then divided between the finalists or been given to the Charity.

If proved guilty, let's hope Ali Tekintamgak will be forever banned from all the tournaments in the world."

Tekintamgac has one big live tournament win under his belt, he won WPT Spanish Championship in May for over $343,000 (he might have cheated at WPT Spanish Championship too).
