A Welcome Win for Ilari FIN

It would be fair to say that it hasn't been the greatest year so far for Ilari "Ziigmund/Ilari FIN" Sahamies at the online PLO tables having lost over $600k at Full Tilt and in excess of $850k at PokerStars.  One can imagine that yesterdays solid $178k win must have come as a welcome relief for the highstakes regular.

In five hours of play and after a little over 100 hands of play in a busy morning of $50/$100 PLO action the outspoken Finn was able to leave the tables a comfortable victor, his healthy profit coming largely from one player - French poker pro Romain “moirhums” Arnaud. Moirhums has only been playing regularly on Stars since April this year and yesterday’s session more than wiped out the $138k profit he had accrued thus far in 2011.

Ilari FIN put the pressure on from the word go and didn’t let up until the final hand was played, taking all the major pots along the way. If he can continue in this vein and rebuild his roll on Stars then we could see some more interesting match-ups on the heads up  tables as the likes of Phil "MrSweets28" Galfond, Gavin "gavz101" Cochrane, Viktor "Isildur1" Blom, Sauce123 and Skjervoy are now regular inhabitants of the PokerStars PLO tables.
