Macau Big Game: 19-year-old Ole-Kristian Nergård joins the action

Ole-Kristian Nergård.

The big cash games in Macau show no sings of slowing down, though Sam Trickett has already left Macau, and Gus Hansen plans to do the same.

Trickett told on Wednesday in his Twitter, that he was leaving Macau, and that his games didn't go this time "as well as it should have gone".

According to his Blog, Hansen has also been loosing in the Macau Big Game, and he might be leaving Macau anytime now:

"Back on track with the missed flights and sadly I must admit this could be the most expensive one I have ever missed :-(

Right at this moment we are playing 9 handed and I am not exactly winning.

I did just hit the Nut-flush against top pair so the deficit is decreasing, but I have still some ways to go. I am planning to catch the midnight flight to Helsinki, but this is obviously not a ‘For Sure’ thing ;-) Gus", Hansen told yesterday.

With Hansen and Trickett out of the picture, at least one new player has now entered the game - 19-year-old Ole-Kristian Nergård from Norway.

"Back in Macau. Played some 5K/10K Pot Limit Omaha today (note: equivalent to US$650 / US$1,300). Won some then left at peak. Feels good", Nergård told today in his Twitter.

Nergård has so far only one live tournament cash to his name, and that one came last year when he finished 24th in the EPT Grand Final Main Event for €40.000.

He has also some online success, and according to his Pocketfives profile he has won $375.000 from online tournaments to this day.

It should also be mentioned, that this Norwegian newspaper is claiming, that Nergård has inherited a large amount of money from his fathers fishing company.
