WSOP Heading to Australia, "Durrrr" on Full Tilt Poker, 2+2 still down and more

It has been an eventful week in the poker world, and in this report we take a closer look on the biggest news of the week.

WSOP heading to Australia

The World Series of Poker has announced a 2013 event at the Crown Casino in Melbourne. The World Series of Poker Asia-Pacific (WSOP APAC) will feature five bracelet events and will run April 4th through April 15th.

“Our goal is to establish the worldwide grand slam of poker and use our platform to elevate the game through a series of major championships.

With WSOP Las Vegas growing annually and WSOP Europe poised for long-term success after five years, the time is right to turn our attention to the dynamic poker scene in Asia and Australia.

Given Crown’s success with the ‘Aussie Millions Poker Championship’, we couldn’t ask for a better partner than Crown to establish the Asia-Pacific’s definitive poker festival.”, WSOP Executive Director Ty Stewart explains.

Tom "durrrr" Dwan rips Full Tilt Poker Managment

In a recent interview with Bluff Europe, Tom "durrrr" Dwan opens up on Full Tilt Poker scandal.

Dwan is not happy at all what happened, as you can read from below:

"They had a really valuable company. I think the only thing that they had to do to keep it valuable was to have all the players' money. From an ethical standpoint, the only two things they had to do were to make sure they had all the money and make sure there was no cheating. And that shouldn't be that hard. It was pretty ridiculous," Dwan tells among other things.

TwoPlusTwo forums still down

The popular poker forum, TwoPlusTwo, is still down and is more likely to come back life next week rather than this week.

“After closer inspection, it’s now clear to us that the 2 + 2 Forums are more likely to come back to life next week rather than this week even though at this point in time we cannot give a definite date, and all efforts are being made to shorten the amount of downtime as much as possible. “, the site tells.

The 2+2 forum was recently hacked, read more about that here.
