PostFlopAction Beats Up On Isildur1 Again But Again Blom A Big Winner
PostFlopAction is hitting his stride now and will soon have wiped out his early losses for 2013
Isildur1 may be helping PostFlopAction on the road to recovery but he certainly not helping the bank balance of his other rivals at Full Tilt as he marches on with his huge daily wins
The big heads up action at Full Tilt Poker shows no sign of abating as once again the big guns were out and firing yesterday, with Viktor "Isildur1" Blom once again at the heart of the action. The biggest winner of the day however was once again young Russian pro Alexander “PostflopAction” Kostritsyn who ended the day a $367.5k winner.
Kostritsyn's profit came from a two hour demolition of Viktor "Isildur1" Blom where he took $402k from the Swedish phenom in 387 one sided hands of play. Other than a short 16 minute session of $1k/$2k draw in which he lost $34k this was PostFlopAction's only action of the day, but it was still more than enough for him to top the daily leader board for the second successive day.
Despite such a massive loss Mr Blom, as well we know, is not one to let a setback stop him from entering the fray and indeed this was the case yesterday. In fact prior to the match with PostFlopAction, Isildur1 found himself playing a bunch of $300/$600 NLHE tables against short stacker Trueteller. In previous encounters Trueteller has often got the better of Blom, but yesterday in just over an hour and a half of play Isildur1 beat his opponent for c.$150k.
After the match with PostFlopAction however, Blom took some time out, only returning to the tables nearly eight hours later for some late night action at the PLO, triple draw and FLO8 tables.
First he took on Tom "durrrr" Dwan and Alex "Alexonmoon" Luneau simultaneously heads up at some $1500/$3000 2-7 Triple Draw tables and beat them out of a combined $213.7k (taking $166.5k from durrrr and $47.2k from Luneau). He then moved on to the $2k/$4k FLO8 tables where he won a combined $115k from SallyWoo and KPR16, again playing each at separate tables - in fact Gus Hansen sat in on table boring with SallyWoo and Isildur1 for a little while towards the end of their session, losing $5k to Blom.
Then, for the first time in quite a while we saw some high stakes uncapped PLO as Blom faced off against Ben "Sauce1234" Sulsky at the $250/$500 tables. This match up also brought us the first six figure pots we've seen online for a number of weeks. The pair each enjoyed winning a big pot;
Sauce1234 flops top set, turns a full house and manages to get paid off with a big bet on the river in this $175k pot
Viktor makes quads on the river and also gets a big bet paid off on the river - $150k pot
The PLO games didn't go so well for Isildur1 as he lost $81.9k in the hour and a half session. However, Blom was to get his revenge on Sulsky pretty swiftly as towards the end of their PLO match they started up a table of 2-7 triple draw at the $1.5k/$3k stakes and over an hour and a half play Isildur1 crushed his opponent for $180k, Sulsky eventually quitting with the words "u are good at this game" typed into the chat box.
So after being over $250k down Isildur1 went on a $520k heater to end the day a $273.5k win to add to the $2.44 million he's already won this week.
It was also a good day for Gus Hansen whose mini revival continues as he ended the day a $257k winner. Hansen got off to a great start, beating Sauce1234 in a morning session of FLO8 for $232k before switching tables and losing $127k to Kyle "KPR16" Ray and also taking a $90k beating across two triple draw tables taking him all but back to even. It was a final, late night 3hr 40 minute session of heads up FLO8 against KPR16 which proved decisive however as Hansen won $236.8k in the early hours to end the day with his $257k win.
We saw two other six figure winners at Full Tilt yesterday as Follow The Hawk won $125.7k at the $1k/$2k 2-7 Triple Draw ring games and Phil "Polarizing" Ivey who ended the day a $111.4k winner after enjoying a $200k win against cottonseed1 at the $2k/$4k FLO8 tables, although he later lost close to $90k of his profits at the triple draw tables
Yesterday's Biggest Winners
