The Professionals vs Team PokerStars Challenge Set For March 10th.

Full Tilt Poker has released details for the upcoming The Professionals vs Team PokerStars Challenge. The Challenge will be played on Sunday, March 10th during EPT London.

According to Full Tilt Poker, match winners will collect $50,000 from their opponent and each member of the overall winning team will receive $10,000 in tournament buy-ins from the rival poker room.

The games are set to take place on Sunday, March 10th at 10:00 ET ,13:00 ET and 16:00 ET and will be hosted at Full Tilt Poker, allowing everyone to log in and cheer on their favorite players.

Here are the three matches:

  • Viktor "Isildur1" Blom vs Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, Sunday, March 10th, 10:00 ET
  • Tom "durrrr" Dwan vs Isaac "luvtheWNBA" Haxton, Sunday, March 10th, 13:00 ET
  • Gus Hansen vs Daniel "KidPoker" Negreanu, Sunday, March 10th, 16:00 ET

The challenge match format will be the best-of-three Heads-Up tournaments, featuring 15 minute blind levels and with starting stacks set at 3,000.

The winning team will be the team that wins at least two of the matches.

Viktor "Isildur1" Blom in a new interview

Viktor "Isildur1" Blom, who is also going to play the challenge detailed above, was recently interviewed by Pokerlistings.

In the interview Blom reveals that he is really happy that Full Tilt Poker is back as it is the home of the biggest online game and it uses his preferred software

After a perfect start in 2013, Blom has been losing heavily at the tables of late. Blom comments on his downswing briefly in the interview:

"I just hope my downswing goes away soon, so I can keep playing :)", Blom tells.

He also asserts that No-Limit Hold'em is still his favorite game, and that Phil "OMGClayAiken" Galfond is the toughest poker player he has ever played against.
