Bttech86 Wins $517k as Isildur1 Lets Another Huge Day Slip

Once again Bttech86 takes a big six figure sum from Isildur1 at $500/$1000 CAP PLO

Once again we were treated to showdown of online PLO legends Ben "Bttech86" Tollerene and Viktor "Isildur1" Blom at the $500/$1000 CAP PLO tables. The match lasted four hours and was full of the usual high variance swings, and ending with Tollerene over half a million dollars richer.

Isildur1 actually went into the match almost $700k up on the day, having previously enjoyed great success at the limit tables, making big scores at the FLHE, FLO8 and 2-7 Triple Draw tables earlier in the day.

After an initial $156k loss playing heads up FLHE against SallyWoo, Isildur1 soon avenged his loss, taking the same opponent for over $270k just over an hour later. Blom also enjoyed considerable FLHE success against Patrik "FinddaGrind" Antonius as well as booking a $144k win at 2-7 TD against PostFlopAction. Isildur1 even turned a six figure profit at FLO8, again coming back from behind in the ring games to end as the biggest FLO8 winner of the day with a $149k win playing against KPR16 and Gus Hansen.

Going into the $500/$1000 CAP PLO match against Bttech86, Isildur was showing over $650k profit for the day. He started the match in fine style, going well over $200k up during the first 100 hands. Things soon changed however and as the $80k maximum pots started to fly Tollerene started to take control of the match and moved into a six figure profit of his own.

As ever in these match, however, the momentum seemed to shift all at once, and twice Isildur1 was able to overcome a +$200k deficit to get close to even.

One big run from Bttech86 around 2/3 of the way through the match seemed rather ominous as he swept into a $400k lead and was seriously punishing his opponent. Of course it's hard to tell in a 40bb PLO game with two very aggressive players but it seemed that Isildur1 started to tilt a little, shipping his money in even lighter than usual or making big calls only to fold on the river. Once again though things all of a sudden turned, and Isildur1 managed to recoup over $300k of his losses after he had been down to two tables and unable to reload.

Just when it looked like the big comeback might be on, Bttech86 put in a dazzling 12 minutes of play where he won almost every pot in sight, taking $350k from Isildur1. Unable or unwilling to reload the cursory "gg" was issued and Bttech86 walked away a $517k winner. Isildur1 ended the day as a $131k winner.
