€1 million buy-in cash game during EPT Grand Final? (updated)

According to the PokerStars Blog, rumors are swirling about a possible €1 million buy-in cash game, that would be played during the upcoming European Poker Tour Grand Final.

Many well-known high stakes players, like Sam Trickett, Paul Newey, Philipp Gruissem, Isaac Haxton and Niklas Heinecker have all confirmed they're ready and willing to play. There are also several other players ready for action, but who prefer to remain anonymous for now.

Apparently the game would be eight-handed, with €1,000/€2,000 blinds and with an optional straddle. It is planned, that the game would kick of on Saturday May 11 at 16:00 Monaco time.

Isaac Haxton seems to be already excited, as he commented the following: "It's not often you get an opportunity to play in a game this big, so obviously that's pretty exciting."

However, it is all rumors and speculation at this point and we will have to wait and see if the game will actually happen.
