Chris Moorman was able to shake the monkey off his back on Friday, after he took down the $10,000 buy-in WPT L.A. Poker Classic Main Event for over one million dollars.
Moorman, who has been crushing the online tournaments for years, can now add a major live tournament title to his list of poker accomplishments.
The heads-up play between Moorman and Glenn Lafaye started after a big action hand. That hand saw a three-way all-in preflop situation with three players left in the tournament.
Players revealed the following cards:
Glenn Lafaye: Q
J
Chris Moorman: 10
10
Michael Rocco: A
8
The board came down eventually K

After that hand, Lafaye started the heads-up in a slight chip lead, but Moorman was able to take down the title eventually in a hand, where he was dealt pocket aces.
This was Moorman's first major live tournament title. He has now around $4 million in career live earnings and nearly $11 million in online earnings.
