PokerStars to test new software on players, Ludovic Geilich wins six figures in Super Tuesday

According to a recent post on 2+2 from PokerStars Management team member ‘Douglas’, the PokerStars 7 software – which has been in its Alpha testing stage for months – is now open to any Windows user who has a PokerStars account and would like to sample the new software for themselves.

“PokerStars 7 is our newest desktop poker client (we’ll be referring to the current software players are using today as PokerStars 6)”, he wrote. “If you’d like an overview of the features of PokerStars 7, please visit our website: (Username: alphatester, Password: ps7alpha)”.

If you’d like to give it a whirl, be aware that it’s a separate entity to the current software or “PokerStars 6” in that you can’t log in to both simultaneously and that third party software such as Poker Tracker or Hold’em Manager may not function.

German born British based tournament professional Ludovic Geilich had an incredible year on the live circuit in 2013, taking down the inaugural UKIPT Marbella event for $171,090 and then final tabling EPT London for $313,482 just four months later.

Last night, he added a six figure score to his online resume, taking down the second largest Super Tuesday in history on PokerStars for $101,325 having navigated his way through 689 of the world’s finest internet grinders.

“Chuffed to bits at eventually getting a serious online score and thank you all for the rail. Ran insane for about an hour that gave me a big chance”, said the German.

Also at making final table runs were the likes of Jeremy ‘00psiedaisy’ Fitzpatrick (4th), Griffin ‘Flush_Entity’ Benger (5th), Anton ‘antesvante’ Wigg (7th) and John ‘bullyon’ Buglion (9th).
