Phil "OMGClayAiken" Galfond Up $1.1m In Four Days

Phil "OMGClayAiken" Galfond proves that form may be temporary, but class is permanent, as he won another $578k in yesterday's 8-Game sessions

Things had been pretty tough for Phil "OMGClayAiken" Galfond over the past few weeks as he lost over $1m dollars at the nosebleeds since the last week of March. However, he has turned things around over the last few days, and a $577.8k win at the 8-Game yesterday has put him up $1.1m since Sunday.

There was action from early morning until late a night at multiple 8-Game tables yesterday with all the big names present including Polarizing, Isildur1, OMGClayAiken, PostflopAction, Niki Jedlicka, samrostan, trex313, FinddaGrind, and Crazy Elior.

Despite the huge amount of action, Galfond was the only player to actually end up with a six figure score at the 8-Game tables (although samrostan won $99k). The US pro was absent from the morning sessions, but rakced up big scores at four tables during the afternoon/evening sessions to finish up nearly $578k to the good.

The morning sessions belonged to Austrian por Niki Jedlicka who looked to be heading for a huge win yesterday. He surged past $700k profit after wins of $318k at table Mortar and $335k at table Vegas. However, after a three hour break he came back and suffered big losses at four tables to end the day just $28k to the good.

The big loser from the morning session was PostflopAction who dropped over $800k from the Jedlicka games, including a brutal $456k loss at table Vegas. Unlike Jedlicka, however, he thrived in the later sessions, winning for around seven hours and recouping all but a little over $30k of his morning's losses.

It was also a swingy day for Viktor "Isildur1" Blom. He had looked good for a decent win at one stage, going over $300k up in the mixed games. However, a terrible end to the day marked him out as the day's biggest loser as he ended up down $319.6k.

There was only one other six figure winner yesterday as Denoking won $195.8k from a 6max breakfast time session of $300/$600 NLHE. Denoking is now up $424k over the past week at Full Tilt's NLHE tables. As well as being by far the biggest winner from the sessions (next up was Ike "luvtheWNBA" Haxton who won $60k), he also scooped the biggest pot:

Denoking rivers a King high flush and is able to extract good value from MalACEsia in this $153.8k pot

Yesterday's Biggest Winners

OMGClayAiken +$577.8k
