Phil Ivey back on top after wins against Ike Haxton and HoldemJill9

Phil Ivey has been having a good month online and is up c.$800k in May across his Full Tilt and PokerStars accounts

Phil "Polarizing" Ivey found himself back on top of the daily highstakes leaderboard yesterday after posting good wins against Ike "luvtheWNBA" Haxton and regular 8-Game rival, HoldemJill9 at Full Tilt.

Ivey's first big win was from a single table session of $250/$500 PLO against Haxton. The pair played for an hour and a half yesterday afternoon. After Haxton took an early $35k lead Ivey made a +$190k upswing over the next 70 minutes, at one point going over $150k profit for the match. Haxton managed to claw some of this back during the final 25 minutes of the match, leaving Ivey with a $98.2k profit.

Ivey also took down the day's biggest pot during this match:

Haxton gets it in bad against Ivey with both players going for broke with naked flush draws with Ivey holding the Ace. The flush doesn't materialise, but the Ace does and Ivey scoops this $100k pot

Ivey moved straight into an 8-Game session against HoldemJill9, winning $96.5k in just twenty minutes. After a half hour break, however, Ivey ran into a little bit of trouble, dropping $21.5k to Kagome Kagome in a 5 hand 2-7TD match, then giving $70k back to HoldemJill9 back at the mixed game tables in a two hour session. Ivey ended the day strongly, however, winning over $77k in his last two, hour long sessions against HoldemJill9 to end the day up $178.6k.

There were no other six-figure winners yesterday, with PokerStars biggest winner coming from their $50/$100 rush tables, where Benny "toweliestar" Spindler won $58.9k from two hours play in a post-midnight session.
