Alex "IReadYrSoul" Millar Wins $179k as $250/$500 NLHE 6max Returns to Full Tilt
Alex "IReadYrSoul" Millar was the big winner after the $250/$500 NLHE games started up at Full Tilt yesterday afternoon
It may well have been the appearance of Phil "Polarizing" Ivey at Full Tilt's $250/$500 NLHE tables which prompted several 6max tables to run through the afternoon and evening. Ivey hasn't featured in much NLHE of late and is almost certainly considerd a mark in these games. Either way, it was seven hours great NLHE action, resulting in big wins for Alex "IReadYrSoul" Millar and Swedish NLHE specialist Denoking.
The NLHE ran from a little after 3pm through to a little after 10pm with the likes of Ivey, Millar, Denoking, CaII_911, SkWizZ, Tight-Man1, Trueteller, and Rhje all taking shots at the big game.
The longest session took place at table Ball, where the biggest winner was Denoking, taking $116.5k from his 5.5 hours at the table. Most of his profit can be attributed to one hand, the biggest of the day:
Super-cooler for IReadYrSoul as he flops middle set (8's) against Denoking's top set (9's). All the money goes in on the flop and Denoking takes down this $179.1k pot
In total Denoking won $128.8k.
The biggest winner, however, was IReadYrSoul, who bagged $179.5k from his 1k hands yesterday. His biggest table win of $108.5k came from 4 hours play at table Thierry. He also took down the days' second biggest pot.
IReadYrSoul wins this $123.7k pot with Ace high after making a bold decision to shove on a J 2 10 flop with AK. He must have been worried when Polarizing called for close to $50k only to find he was still ahead with Ivey holding KQ for an open ended straight draw. The board blanked and the pot shipped to IReadYrSoul.
It was a disappointing day for Ivey who at one point was up around $200k during a lengthy $1k/$2k 2-7 TD battle against regular rival Cort "thecortster" Kibler-Melby. A great comeback from thecortster during the 9.5 hour match enabled him to leave with a slight profit for the day. Ivey also lost $66k at the NLHE tables.
The biggest winner at PokerStars was Sami "Lrslzk" Kelopuro who won $60.7k at the $50/$100 and $100/$200 PLO ring games. Cross country ski legend Petter "NorthugJr" Northug was next with a $45k win over Faith#1Virtu at the $50/$100 PLO tables.
Yesterday's Biggest Winners
IReadYrSoul +$179.5k
Denoking +$128.8k
Lrslzk +$60.8k
NorthugJr +$45.1k
