Cort "thecortster" Kibler-Melby Up $640k Over Phil "RaiseOnce" Ivey

Cort Kibler-Melby has enjoyed a great weekend so far at PokerStars 2-7 TD tables

Cort "thecortser" Kibler-Melby and Phil "RaiseOnce" Ivey have been playing a lot of heads-up $1k/$2k 2-7 Triple Draw of late, with the results being fairly even in the long run. However, over the weekend it looks like Kibler-Melby has found an extra gear, and he is currently up close to $640k up against the 10 time WSOP bracelet winner since yesterday morning.

The pair met in the early hours of yesterday morning where they played a 12 hour one table session. Kibler-Melby lead from the start, and less than four hours into the session he had built a $300k lead. However, for the remainder of the session, Ivey clawed back the deficit, and by the time the +1.6k hand session ended, he had reduced his loss to just over $115k.

This morning, the pair started up again at the exact same table at roughly the same time they started on Saturday morning, although this time they put in a 13 hour straight session, with just one 20 minute break at the six hour mark. The split session was convincingly won by thecortster, who bagged $219k from the first six hours, and a further $192k from the remainder of the table session.

Another twenty minute comfort break and the match resumed once again, although this time only for another hour and 18 minutes. In this far briefer exchange, thecortster was still able to add another six-figure win to his profits, taking $110.3k from 86 hands. In total thecortser is up $521.8k so far today, and up $637,130 over Ivey since yesterday morning.
