Isildur1 Wins $272k at PokerStars

Viktor "Isildur1" Blom enjoyed his biggest win in months at PokerStars yesterday

With the WSOP now over for the summer, we're expecting to see an increase in the online highstakes action. The chances of that will probably increase a fair bit this morning when certain highstakes regulars learn that action-junkie Viktor "Isildur1" Blom won $272k at PokerStars during yesterday's games.

The majority of Isildur1's profit came from the Triple Draw tables where he won around $250k. His first success came from a 34 minute late afternoon heads-up session against Cort "thecortster" Kibler-Melby, where he won $49k from 109 hands played at the $500/$1000 tables.

Blom then moved on to the $100/$200 PLO tables where he played for around 90 minutes against the likes of Ben "Ben86" Tollerene, fjutekk, and Sami "Lrzlsk" Kelopur, winning another $25k or so.

Isildur1's biggest win, however, came from a 3.5 hour evening heads-up match against JesusLebtNOT (Kagome Kagome at Full Tilt) from which the Swedish pro won $205.8k. He took the lead very early on in the match and never reliquished it. JesusLebtNOT staged a mini-comeback around 1.5 hours into the match where he reduced his deficit from around $180k to $100k, but over the last 45 minutes Isildur1 came on strong again to end the battle over $200k up.

Isildur1 is now up over $300k at PokerStars over the past two days.
