Several well-known players, including Daniel "KidPoker" Negreanu, Ike Haxton and Dani "Ansky" Stern, recently met with PokerStars to discuss the recent changes made to the PokerStars VIP program.

Dani Stern published a joint statement on the meeting yesterday, that reveals PokerStars is not willing to reconsider any of the changes.

According to Stern, at the start of the meeting they were required to sign a non-disclosure agreements (NDA). "It was not their intent to restrict our ability to discuss the meeting, but they felt that, in order to most effectively make their case, they needed to share confidential information.", Stern added.

After over eight hours of talking with PokerStars representatives, it became clear that the recent changes to the VIP program will stay in effect.

PokerStars had argued, that there are problems with the current poker “ecosystem,” and that the recent VIP changes will address those problems.

"We deeply regret that we are not bringing back any good news for the players. We tried our best to present both practical and ethical arguments against the SN/SNE cuts, but PokerStars is not willing to reconsider any of the changes.

Feel free to ask us questions. We will try to answer them as best we can, but are unlikely to answer if we think it will come close to violating the NDA."
, Stern ended his post.
