Isildur1 On Top Again - Up $415k in 4 Days
Viktor "Isildur1" Blom's great start to 2017 continued yesterday as he ended as the day's biggest highstakes winner at PokerStars, showing a $73,654 profit. This is Blom's 4th consecutive winning day, and he has racked up $415k in profit since Tuesday.
In fact most of Blom's profit came from the continuation of a match he started Thursday evening against Daniel "w00ki3z." Cates at the $400/$800 8-Game tables. Between midnight and 4am server time the pair played another 1,272 hands with Isildur1 walking away with a $55.4k profit from the session.
Isildur1 went on to win another $21k from the 8-Game tables yesterday where he played heads-up against RaulGonzales. This was just the start of what turned out to be a huge amount of volume Isildur1 played heads-up against RaulGonzales as the pair played for three hours total yesterday morning, and then from just after 6pm last night through to 4am this morning. After the 8-Game match they played at the $500/$1000 2-7 TD and $300/$600 FLO8 tables yesterday morning, then for the entire evening/ealry hours session, they played continuously at the $1k/$2k 2-7 Triple Draw tables.
The $1k/$2k Triple Draw sessions were hugely swingy. Within 20 minutes of the start of the evening session, RaulGonzales had taken a $140k lead. However, he couldn't hold onto his advantage, and over the next three hours Isildur1 went on a $250k upswing to put himself well into the black - only for RaulGonzales to make an equally huge comeback to restore his six-figure advantage after four more hours battling it out. The last three hours saw Isildur1 clawing back at his opponent once again, and after nearly 2,500 hands and after playing heads-up for 13 of the previous 21 hours, there was barely anything in it with less than $13k between them!
The second biggest winner from yesterday's games was ac1dd who won $23.2k from just half an hours play in the early hours of yesterday morning at the $200/$400 NLHE 6max tables. Third went to 1nvoker who took $20.9k, also from the NLHE tables, with most of that profit coming from the same $200/$400 session as ac1dd, and fourth place on yesterday's highstakes leaderboard we find fjutwkk with a $16.4k profit from 2 hours play yesterday evening at the $50/$100 PLO tables.
